Healing Afghanistan’s Wounds with the 23rd “Train of Kindness”

The 23rd Train of Kindness — the latest link in the chain of compassion stretching from Türkiye to Afghanistan — has set off with prayers and hope. As Çare Association, we once again took our place in this meaningful mobilization, sharing in the excitement of bringing warm meals and renewed hope to our Afghan brothers and sisters struggling against harsh winter conditions and natural disasters.

Our sister nation, Afghanistan, has long been caught in the grip of instability — and in recent times, it has also been devastated by floods and earthquakes, deepening an already severe humanitarian crisis.

With the cold winter fast approaching, thousands of families are left without shelter or even a piece of bread to put on their tables. Their eyes are turned toward Türkiye, waiting in hope for a helping hand to reach them.

 

At a time when every single wagon and every aid parcel carries vital importance, it was unthinkable for us to remain silent in the face of our brothers’ cries for help.

Embracing their pain as our own, we once again joined this great convoy of kindness.

Coordinated by AFAD and supported by dozens of non-governmental organizations, the 23rd Train of Kindness departed from Ankara, carrying a total of 922 tons of humanitarian aid bound for Afghanistan.

As Çare Association, we contributed to this journey of hope with the donations entrusted to us by our generous supporters.

 

The aid packages we loaded onto the pallets are more than mere numbers — they represent a warm loaf of bread shared at a family table, a pot of food simmering with hope, and a smile rekindled after despair.

 

So, what did we load onto the wagons?

 

Each of these packages was prepared with your precious donations. They are now on their way aboard the 23rd Train of Kindness, set to touch the hearts of thousands of our brothers and sisters miles away.

Kindness grows as it is shared. Through this train bound for Afghanistan, we are carrying the faithful and generous heart of the people of Türkiye.

Together, we witness how even a single bag of flour or a packet of pasta can transform into immense happiness for someone in need.
