In the late 1980s, Halis and Mustafa envisioned a dream: to unite visually impaired brothers and sisters with the Qur’an. For these brothers and sisters, whose eyes cannot see but whose hearts are filled with light, they prepared a Braille Qur’an weighing one ton and set off toward Kampala. This blessed journey they began is now bearing new fruits at the İsar Çare Complex.

As Çare Association, during our second health camp in the Yumbe region of Uganda, we restored health to a total of 365 people by performing 217 cataract surgeries, 108 general surgeries, and 40 pediatric surgeries. Throughout the camp, we also provided food aid and distributed baby formula to support basic needs in the area. Our volunteer doctors helped patients who had been waiting for treatment for a long time regain their health. As Çare Association, we continue to deliver aid to those in need and bring hope to more people in regions where access to healthcare is challenging. We are merely a means!

Dr. Selim Genç, Çare Doctors Health Camp - February 2024 We’re in a narrow hospital corridor in Yumbe, Uganda. Our volunteer doctor from Istanbul, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selim Genç, describes the challenging conditions and difficulties they face here: “If we hadn’t come here, it wouldn’t have been possible to treat that child. Unfortunately, there isn’t a team here that can provide treatment. He had been forced to live with cataracts until the age of 13 and hadn’t had the chance to have surgery. After the operation, the child turned to us and said, ‘You’ve opened one of my eyes, please don’t leave without opening the other!’ These words made me realize once again how critical our mission is.”

On the roads we set out to find a solution, we walked to the most difficult points of Gaza with your help. Together, we distributed food supplies to the oppressed throughout the war. Together, we held the hands of the orphans as much as we could. Despite all the difficulties, we walked tirelessly and without complaint. And we will walk with you again one day; this time it will be different. We will shout "Free Palestine" on that blessed day!

Under the challenging conditions in Gaza, we are proud to lay the foundation of the Gaza Kitchen of Çare Association by distributing lunch to needy Palestinian families! Since the beginning of the earthquake, we have been continuing our activities in the earthquake-stricken area to support the earthquake-affected families. We have completed the Phase I of our efforts to relocate affected families to our furnished and fully equipped homes. After the earthquake, we started working to erase the traces of the disaster, heal the wounds, and rebuild lives. We constructed furnished and fully equipped container houses to alleviate the suffering of the affected families and provide them with a livable and warm home. After completing the first phase of our project, we have placed the earthquake-affected families into temporary container houses.

we touched the lives of more than ten million families with humanitarian aid, health, education, prayer rooms, madrasahs, orphanages and similar activities in 125 different regions in 16 countries in our first year. We have built permanent projects in Tanzania, Arakan, Kenya, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Chad, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Palestine, Philippines, Somalia, Afghanistan, Syria, Sri Lanka and South Africa. we provided food, cleaning aids, village school projects and emergency aid activities to nearly 5 thousand families every month in Turkiye alone, in 2021.
