The orphan sponsorship fee for 2026 has been increased to 720 TL as of January 1, 2026.
During our health campaign in Senegal between 10–18 January 2026, we not only restored sight by removing cataracts, but also laid the foundation for sustainable healthcare services through technology transfer and professional training provided to local doctors. As Çare Association, by Allah’s grace and as a means to the manifestation of His name Ash-Shafi (The Healer), we helped illuminate the lives of 160 brothers and sisters while guiding the surgeons of tomorrow.

Operations Performed: 160 Cataract Surgeries (Conducted Within the Training Program)

“The eye is a reader of the book of the universe and an observer of the Divine artistry manifested throughout creation.”
Inspired by this understanding, we worked in underserved regions of Senegal to remove the physical darkness from the eyes of 160 individuals suffering from cataracts.
Throughout our intensive mission from 10–18 January 2026, the Çare Doctors team and local physicians trained through the program worked side by side to successfully complete 160 cataract operations. Every surgery served as a training session, and every recovered patient became a living testimony to the value of knowledge shared.
Our principle is sustainability and long-term impact. Rather than providing temporary assistance and leaving, we strive to ensure that healthcare services continue independently after our departure.
One of the region’s most critical healthcare needs—a Phacoemulsification (Phaco) machine used in modern cataract surgery—along with essential surgical consumables, was donated by our association to the local hospital. Yet our greatest investment was not in equipment, but in people.
To ensure that the donated equipment would continue serving the community effectively, we organized a comprehensive training program for local eye specialists.
Our volunteer doctors from Türkiye provided practical instruction on:
Advanced operation and maintenance of the Phaco machine
Modern cataract surgery techniques
Management of surgical complications
Post-operative patient care and follow-up procedures
As a result, even after our team returned home, local physicians were equipped to continue restoring sight using the donated equipment and newly acquired skills. This creates a lasting legacy of service that will continue benefiting communities for years to come.
“Our enemies are ignorance, poverty, and disunity. We shall strive against these enemies with the weapons of knowledge, skill, and unity.”
This principle came to life in the heart of Africa. By addressing need through medical expertise, education, and technological support, we strengthened the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity with our Senegalese brothers and sisters.
The joy reflected in the eyes of those who regained their vision was not only the happiness of seeing again, but also the comfort of knowing that caring hands had reached them from thousands of kilometers away.
This health mission is neither the first nor the last stop on Çare Association’s journey of compassion across Africa. While helping restore physical sight, we also strive to strengthen hope, dignity, and brotherhood among communities in need.
With the generous support of our donors, we will continue combining technology with compassion, and expertise with service, leaving lasting and meaningful impacts throughout Africa.
May Allah reward all those who contributed to this mission and all who supported these efforts financially, physically, and spiritually.
