The Journey of Loyalty in Yumbe Has Come to an End!

In Yumbe, Uganda, our Journey of Loyalty has been successfully completed. Together with our volunteer doctors, we fulfilled our promise to return and provide care for those who had been waiting with hope. Through 271 life-changing surgeries, 4,500 medical screenings, 1,100 medicine packages, and daily meals served to 3,600 people, we brought healing, compassion, and dignity to the community.

Returning to Complete Unfinished Stories

This was more than a medical mission—it was a promise. During our previous visit, limited resources prevented us from operating on every patient in need. We looked into their eyes and said, “We will come back.” The people of Yumbe held onto that promise, and this year we returned to honor it.

Impact Beyond Numbers

Our healthcare campaign in Yumbe witnessed days of dedicated service and compassion:

  • 271 successful surgeries restored health and hope to patients suffering from cataracts, hernias, burn injuries, and congenital conditions.

  • 4,500 medical screenings helped identify and address critical health needs across the region.

  • 1,100 medicine packages were distributed to support ongoing treatment and recovery.

  • 3,600 meals served ensured that patients and their families were cared for while awaiting treatment.

The mission concluded with a special visit to the Çare Orphanage on November 10, where eye examinations were conducted for orphaned children, helping them look toward the future with healthier vision and renewed hope.

Our Journey of Compassion Continues

As Çare Association, we are grateful for the opportunity to fulfill our promise in Uganda. Yet across the world, countless people are still waiting for medical care, support, and hope.

With your continued generosity, we can expand this mission of compassion and reach even more lives in need.

Join us on the next Çare Doctors mission and become a source of hope for someone in need.
