The orphan sponsorship fee for 2026 has been increased to 720 TL as of January 1, 2026.
As Çare Association, we continue bringing hope and healing to communities across West Africa through our Health and Training Campaign in Senegal. Launched on January 10 in the city of Touba, this initiative combines medical treatment with professional training, creating both immediate impact and long-term healthcare solutions for the local community.
On the first day of the campaign, our medical team carried out cataract operations at Etablissement Public de Santé de Ndamatou de Touba Hospital, enabling nearly 40 patients to see clearly again. Witnessing the joy of individuals who had lived in darkness for years and were able to regain their vision became our greatest source of motivation.
This initiative is not merely a healthcare campaign; it is also a comprehensive training program. Our specialist doctors from Türkiye are working side by side with local healthcare professionals, sharing valuable expertise and practical experience.
While cataract surgeries in Senegal have traditionally relied on older techniques, our volunteer doctors are providing hands-on training in the use of modern Phacoemulsification (PHACO) technology. To maximize effectiveness and overcome language barriers, all training sessions are conducted in both English and French.
At Çare Association, our goal is to ensure that the benefits of our work continue long after our team returns home. For this reason, we are donating a PHACO machine to the hospital where the training and surgeries are taking place.
Once the training program is completed, Senegalese doctors will be able to use this advanced equipment independently, allowing them to continue providing high-quality eye care and restoring sight to cataract patients throughout their community.
The campaign will continue until January 18, with the aim of performing 300 cataract surgeries by the end of the program.
Every patient who regains their sight in Senegal stands as a powerful symbol of solidarity, compassion, and brotherhood. With your prayers and support, we remain committed to spreading hope and healing to those who need it most.
