Healthcare Camp Launched in Yumbe, Uganda

Yumbe, Uganda – May 2025
As the Care Association family, we are honored to announce the launch of a brand-new healthcare camp in the historic Ottoman legacy district of Yumbe, in the heart of West Nile. With your prayers and support, we are bringing hope to thousands through cataract surgeries—preventing early-age vision loss—lifesaving pediatric operations, malnutrition treatments, comprehensive health screenings, and free medication distribution over the next ten days.

By the end of the first day, we had already provided healing to over 100 patients. Those who had lost their sight were able to see again through cataract surgery; urgent pediatric cases were lined up for operation, and children diagnosed with malnutrition began receiving immediate treatment. Our mobile medical teams went village to village, performing blood sugar, blood pressure, and malaria tests—ensuring early-diagnosed cases were swiftly referred to the camp.

One unforgettable moment of the day was when a little child, just regaining his sight after surgery, ran to hug the doctor who treated him. That heartfelt gesture alone showed how well your kindness reached its destination from Türkiye.
Every smile reminds us that our fatigue is worth it. Every prayer lights our path.
Here in Yumbe, we are writing a beautiful story of compassion, solidarity, and brotherhood—on your behalf.

With your prayers and support, we continue to be: “One Touch, One Life.”
