Malnutrition, conflict, poverty… In regions where access to healthcare is considered a luxury, hundreds of people seek hope. But kindness always finds a way! Through its health camp in Yumbe, Uganda, Çare Association brought light back to eyes and warmth to hearts.
Held from May 2 to 11, 2025, the primary goal of the camp was to provide free and high-quality medical treatment to the people of Yumbe, who have limited access to healthcare. A team of volunteer Turkish doctors and healthcare workers, working side by side with local physicians, offered healing across a wide spectrum—from vision impairments to pediatric surgery. The region’s chronic health problems, lack of hygiene, and financial hardship made this camp a true “lifeline.”
These numbers are more than just statistics—they represent the joy of people who regained their sight, the hope of children who can now grow up without pain. Thanks to post-operative medication and medical supply support, patients returned home with peace of mind. Sixty-year-old Musa Arnuka expressed his gratitude, saying: “Everything had been blurry for years. Now, for the first time, I can see my grandchildren—this is better than any holiday!”
Çare Association is committed to continuing periodic health camps across various regions of Africa, inshallah. From cataract surgeries to nutrition treatments, from orphan support to permanent health centers, many projects are in the pipeline—awaiting your support!
